Scholarship Opportunities at Abu Dhabi University
ADU is committed to making world-class education accessible to students from all backgrounds. A range of merit-based and need-based financial support options are available to both new and continuing students.
Merit-Based Scholarships

STEM Excellence Scholarship | Engineering / IT applicants, GPA ≥ 88% | 40% |
Important: All merit scholarships require a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 per semester to remain active. Scholarships are reviewed at the end of each academic year.
Scholarship Renewal Conditions
To retain your scholarship beyond the first year, you must:
Maintain a CGPA of 3.0 or above each semester
Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (full-time status)
Have no academic integrity or disciplinary violations on record
Submit the annual scholarship renewal form before the deadline each academic year
Need-Based Financial Aid
A limited number of need-based grants are available each semester. To apply:
Download and complete the Financial Aid Application Form from the student portal
Attach family income documentation — salary certificates or bank statements for the last 3 months
Write a brief personal statement (max 500 words) explaining your financial situation
Submit all documents to the Financial Aid Office before the semester application deadline
External Funding & Sponsorships
In addition to ADU's internal scholarships, students are encouraged to explore:
ADEK Grants — Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge supports UAE nationals pursuing higher education
Khalifa Fund — available to entrepreneurship-track students in select programs
Corporate Sponsorships — ADU partners with several UAE organisations that co-sponsor high-achieving students in exchange for post-graduation commitments

Accept your Offer of Admission in the admissions portal
Navigate to Financial Services → Scholarships & Aid
Select your scholarship type and upload the supporting documents
Submit before the enrollment deadline — late applications are not accepted
